It all starts from the inside. Yeah, you hear that quite a lot these days, but I'm a firm believer it's the truth.

Physical and spiritual fitness, along with paying attention to what we eat and drink is what gives us energy, a healthy glow, great skin and a positive attitude. All the skincare and makeup in the world can't give you that. Trust me, I can tell a lot about a person when they sit in my chair, as their health is apparent in their hair, skin, the way they sit and their attitude.

I'm going to talk about physical fitness. In 2018, we have a lot of options we didn't have years ago.

For example, working out isn't just about going to a large big box gym. We have choices. Nowadays there are smaller no-frills facilities at every turn. Whether it's Pilates, yoga, CrossFit, Kickboxing, Zumba, running clubs, ballroom dancing or indoor cycling, there is a huge variety to choose from. And if you live somewhere with great weather, a long hike, bike ride or run works just as well as any gym.

There is no right or wrong way to exercise, it's about finding what works for you.

I recently went to a new cycling studio in Las Vegas called The Ride. Vegas is late to the game with indoor studios such as this, but it's growing. Here's a recent articlethat talks about the many new cycling studios in our town.

Pilates and yoga used to be very expensive, but in most parts of the country there are little studios offering Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Reformer classes and more, often for a monthly membership fee that allows you to go as often as you wish. If you take advantage of it, it becomes very affordable. Instead of $25 per class, it can go as low as $5 per class.

I challenge all of my readers to find something this year that they like and stick with it. Ask friends where they work out, take a look at Groupon (a great way to try new fitness options at a deal), search online or pickup local magazines that have ads for health and fitness. If you're a bit scared to try something new, do it with a friend.

I promise you there are options that will fit your budget, so there are no excuse. Just get out there and move your body as much as you can. It will pay off in more ways than you can imagine.

Love and Friendship,
