In addition to it being the start of a new year, one of my first jobs of 2018 was something called iPOP! Las Vegas, a show held twice a year where coaches and teachers select students from participating schools to perform in front of leading choreographers and show producers.
This was my first year participating, and me and my team saw hundreds of young men and women who want to get into show business or modeling. I had a large booth where these kids and their parents signed up for makeup and hair before they performed in front of the producers. It was a hectic few days, but we enjoyed being around young talent hoping to start a career. Rebirth!
It was great to be around such energy with these kids, and then my next job at the Consumer Electronics Show allowed me to spend time with entrepreneurs, leaders and motivators, including the tech guys from Intel and Dell. Another guy I made up at the show was Tony Romo. Talk about someone who has reinvented himself. I've heard a lot of sports fans say they enjoy him a lot more in the booth than when they did on the field. Some say he has been a breath of fresh air in the sportscasting world.
